|Free and Discounted Seminars and Training||Clients are guaranteed 2 free places at our 6-monthly regional safety update seminars. These sessions explore the practical impacts of developments in safety legislation and court actions as well as alerting you to issues on the horizon. LAW clients are entitled to substantial discount on all our in-house and public seminars.|
|Safety Pulse||We scan the horizon so you don't have to. We'll proactively alert you to any changes in safety legislation or guidance, and offer practical advice on the impact for your business.|
|Competent Person||Your named, highly qualified and experienced, LAW Health & Safety Manager will act as your legally required Competent Person.|
|Enforcement Liaison||In the event of enforcement action from the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) or the Local Authority Environmental Health Enforcement Officer (EHO) or the Fire and Rescue Services we will support you. We will provide advice and can liaise on your behalf to minimise the impact on your business. This includes responding to Fee For Intervention (FFI), improvement or prohibition notices of impending prosecution.|
|Health & Safety Documentation Review||A detailed examination of your health & safety procedures including, but not limited to, your health & safety policy, responsibilities and arrangements, records of training, risk assessments, contractor assessments; safe systems of work and maintenance records. Usually delivered at your premises or can be completed remotely. A succinct report will be provided, covering significant findings and practical suggestions for improvement.|
|Physical Safety Assessment||
Your LAW Health & Safety Manager will carry out an in-depth tour of business operations at your sites, considering the hazards and risks of the activities taking place on site, as well as the physical premises themselves. The comprehensive follow up report will cover all safety-related regulations, and will act as a detailed risk assessment. A clear risk-based action plan is provided, with recommended timescales for implementation.
|Safety Coaching & Mentoring||One of our highly qualified and experienced consultants will provide hands-on support to develop your in-house team. Support can include creating systems, completing risk assessments and other coaching and guidance, with a view to your team becoming self-sufficient.|
|Committee and Board Meeting Attendance & Input||We can offer supporting ranging from input into the safety agenda and/or management action plans, to attending relevant committee and board meetings.|
|Contractor Approval||Where you employ contractors within your organisation, we will examine and approve their adherence to policies and procedures, and their competence.|
|Health & Safety Policy Design||Preparation of a bespoke health & safety policy for your business. We'll ensure it reflects your organisation, your responsibilities and arrangements, and that it's written in a style which makes everyone's expectations clear.|
|Fire Risk Assessment||
We will undertake a comprehensive examination of the fire safety precautions at your premises, and develop a robust fire risk assessment with clear recommendations for compliance with either the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 or the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006.
|Hands-on Risk Assessments||Our safety managers will spend time in your business supporting and coaching your in-house team. Where required, we will complete the risk assessments with your staff to ensure compliance in this important area.|
|Board Level Safety Review
||This high level safety review has proven beneficial to executive teams, providing confidence that your policies are being implemented on the ground. It is suitable where a high level of in-house competence appears to be in place, but the executive team need reassurance that the business is genuinely fulfilling its safety obligations. The report recognises achievements, as well as areas requiring improvement, and provides recommendations to be set as future objectives.|
