New Appointments at Law At Work

BY Steven Smith

LAW are pleased to report reinforcement in each of our divisions.

In employment law, the team has been strengthened by the arrival of employment solicitor Sammi Mackie. Sammi completed her traineeship in immigration law, developing expertise advising European workers in light of Brexit, subsequently transferring her experience of managing complex advice cases to the LAW team.  Sammi won her first employment tribunal with LAW last month, after just three months with the company.

Also in employment law, we’re pleased to welcome first and second year trainees across LAW’s central belt offices, with Erin Moncur joining the Glasgow team as well as Jenny Brunton and Kenzie Howard in Edinburgh.

The firm’s health & safety team has been fortified with the appointment of Trevor Cooke as Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality Manager. Trevor is a certified ISO lead auditor with experience of leading and participating in global audit programmes within high-end manufacturing operations including oil & gas, aerospace, transport and logistics and multi-site operations.  Michelle Sneyd, a Chartered Member of IOSH, will also join the safety team later this month.

On the commercial front, leading the charge as LAW’s new Head of Business Development is Richard Stark. Most recently Business Director at Ellis Whittam’s Glasgow office, Richard has a proven track record in consultative sales; sales management; direct new business; partnerships and account management.  Richard’s appointment follows the recent addition of business development executives David Shepherd and Kris O’Neil into LAW’s Edinburgh office.

Steven Smith, Head of Client Management, has strengthened the growing client management division with the addition of Alex Hunt, who will help take LAW to the next level of marketing and client care.  Our recent client survey for 2019 achieved a superb response rate of 55% – thanks to all of our clients who took the time to provide such valuable feedback.
