The HSE have announced, as part of their business plan, that they will provide revised guidance for employers on how to assess and manage work related mental ill-health in 2018/19. To assist our clients we have now introduced the following two courses which can be delivered at your business location.

Scottish Mental Health First Aid, (12 hour NHS Scotland course delivered by an approved LAW instructor)

Although mental health problems are very common, most people know very little about mental health. A ‘mental health first aider’ can offer comfort and support in a crisis until help arrives. Delegates to this course can help promote understanding of mental health issues, provide initial help and guide a person towards appropriate professional help. Listening skills, how to ask about suicide and signposting are integral parts of this interactive course.

Mental Health Awareness Training for Managers

Our in-house 6 hour course has been matched with the NHS Healthy Working Lives Award. Provides managers and supervisors with training to increase their knowledge and understanding of mental health, wellbeing and stress in the workplace and how to structure conversations with employees where poor mental wellbeing may be a concern.
