A number of Companies have recently been prosecuted and in one case a Company Director was jailed.

Aldi was recently found guilty and fined £1m with £70,000 costs, following the injury to a new member of staff who suffered severe injuries to their foot whilst operating an electric pallet truck in one of their stores. 

The Company Director of Peterstone Golf Club, near Newport has been jailed for 32 months following the drowning of a staff member in a lake. The employee had been tasked with collecting golf balls from a lake on the course.  The Director plead guilty to manslaughter by gross negligence.
