Along with a raft of other changes due to come into effect in April, the Government has announced that the limit on a number of statutory employment payments will increase from 6th April.
- The maximum week’s pay for the purposes of redundancy payments or unfair dismissal basic awards will be £475 (previously £464);
- The maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal claims will be £78,335 (previously £76,574); and
- The maximum basic award for certain unfair dismissal claims will be £5,807 (previously £5,676).
This will affect redundancies and unfair dismissal claims where the effective date of termination falls on or after 6th April 2015.
