Big MacWorkers at McDonald’s told to lose weight to fit into uniforms

A McDonald’s manager has landed in hot chip oil by demanding that his staff smarten up their appearance and lose weight to fit into their uniforms.

The exasperated manager of an Edinburgh franchise sent an email to staff after becoming frustrated with his staff’s ill-fitting uniforms. He lashed out at staff over their “sloppy” appearance and told them they could either “buy bigger shirts or lose some weight”. McDonald’s is clearly not “lovin’ it” and has distanced itself from the manager’s prickly comments. A spokesman said, “We do not condone this behaviour and consider the sending of this email and its content to be inappropriate.”
