We know that companies strive hard to attract the best staff and to reward existing staff for their commitment. Whole industries have sprung up around the concepts of employee engagement and reward strategy.
But no matter how well your company is doing, it is unlikely to beat the actions of two Chinese tech firms whose CEOs are battling it out to be crowned the best boss by whisking thousands of employees away on foreign holidays.
Li Jinyuan, CEO of Tiens, surprised staff at the company by announcing that he would be celebrating the company’s 20th anniversary in style by taking the 6,700 strong workforce on holiday to France and Monaco. Not to be beaten. Li Huisen, CEO of Infitus, has pledged to take his 12,700 staff on a luxury holiday to Thailand at a reported cost of £11 million.
I wonder if they have any vacancies…
