Managing menopause issues in the workplace

17 June 2021 — 10:00 to 12:00
Employment Law & HR
A growing number of high profile women including, most recently, Davina McCall have publicly shared their experiences of the menopause with a view to breaking the taboo and addressing some of the myths. And with women aged 50-64 now the fastest growing economic group in society, there is a strong business case for employers taking steps to create a compassionate workplace culture for women experiencing the menopause. If your organisation has yet to embark on this journey or you have stalled after the often first step of introducing a menopause policy, then we can guide you on practical steps that you can take to support women going through the menopause in the workplace. At our two-hour webinar you’ll learn:

• What the menopause is, the symptoms and how it can impact women at work
• The steps employers and colleagues can take to support an employee who is going through the menopause at work
• The legal risks and obligations associated with managing employees going through the menopause
• The role that workplace culture can play in supporting employees who are going through the menopause

This course can also be delivered in-house for your organisation, as a webinar or an interactive half-day workshop. For more details please contact our Employment Law and HR Training Manager, Lorna Gemmell (lorna.gemmell@lawatwork.co.uk)
