Law At Work moved in to 19 Thistle Street in January 2015 to grow our reach across Scotland and to better serve our clients in the east. While LAW has always had presence in Edinburgh, the team were drawn to Thistle Street because it enabled us to host seminars in our own city centre office for the first time.
The building itself has a bit of history to it, formerly being St Andrews Church Hall. A plaque on the front of the building reads: "This building gifted to the Minister and Elders of the Parish of St Andrew by Mr Alexander Maclean Perfumer in Edinburgh in the year 1835 was rebuilt by the Kirk Session and Congregation for the use of the Church and Parish of St Andrew in the year 1900."
The office is home to a number of our employment solicitors and safety managers. It is also the hub for LAW's Client Management division. The middle floor of the office hosts our reputation partners who deliver seamless public relations support to LAW clients.
Edinburgh's economy used to be famous for banking, publishing and brewing. Today, its economy is based mainly on professional services, technology, higher education, and tourism. LAW’s Edinburgh team work closely with many clients in these sectors. There is also a thriving third sector, and LAW are proud to support some of the city’s key charities including The Rock Trust, Cyrenians and the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations.
Located in the heart of the New Town, Law At Work’s Edinburgh office is situated right off St Andrew Square. The office expands across five floors and includes a basement meeting room, a theatre-style seminar room and enough office space for at least 25 staff.
